Ingredient List: Potatoes, beef, pork, buttermilk (cultured lowfat milk, nonfat milk, food starch-modified [corn and tapioca], mono and diglycerides, natural hog casings, salt, sodium, citrate, carrageenan, locust bean gum, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3), water, onions, salt (salt, sodium silicoaluminate, dextrose, potassium iodide), spices.

The potato sausage may thaw in transit but will still be cold. Immediately prepare your potato sausage or freeze it. Thawing for an extended period of time will cause the potato sausage to turn dark and watery as there are no preservatives.

For best results freeze or cook immediately upon receipt. Once ready to prepare, we recommend waiting as long as possible before thawing Scott's Swedish Potato Sausage in the refrigerator, and then cooking the sausage as soon as it is thawed. This will help minimize any natural discoloration that can occur as the potatoes are exposed to warmer air. Potato sausage which has experienced dark discoloration after thawing is still safe to eat and the taste is unaffected. Alternatively, sausage can be boiled directly from its frozen state.
